2021 update

Two Hoots Glamping site is under new management who, following COVID restrictions, have decided to limit the re-opening to our two fully self-contained Shepherd's Huts (now each with their own toilet/shower rooms).

Up to date availability and bookings for our two Shepherd's Huts are now exclusively handled by AirBnb.

Lazy Day's Shepherd's Hut (first hut, nearest to car park): view/book on Airbnb

Keeper's Cosy Shepherd's Hut (last hut, furthest from car park): view/book on Airbnb

NB. Due to ongoing COVID restrictions and out of caution, no tents, touring caravans, motorhomes or glamping pods are currently available to book.

Our site remains as an exclusively ADULT-ONLY SITE which helps to ensure it remains a quiet and peaceful site befitting its stunning hilltop location with long distance south & westerly views over the Hampshire Hills.

Camping Pods

The First Eco-Friendly Pods in Hampshire

Sympathetically designed to blend in with the countryside, these natural Eco-Friendly Camping Pods offer a spacious, secure and cosy environment for your stay.

Choose a Pod and go stress-free, camping to glamping in one easy step. For campers who love the great outdoors but not erecting tents, feeling the damp or hosting creepy crawlies in your canvas.

An unusual experience everyone should try, you might enjoy a fun-packed week or just a quiet weekend getting away from it all, eating out on your decking area with a beautiful sunset and looking out at the stars from the cosy warmth and security of your very own Pod.

What is a Camping Pod?

It’s a beautiful, natural, well-built, insulated, secure wooden camping hut that provides comfortable accommodation in place of a tent. It’s also 100% carbon neutral. Pods are insulated with sheep's wool and have a special designed foil material to help regulate summer and winter temperatures along with roofing tiles that are designed with a noise reducing material within them, cutting down the noise of heavy rain.

As we are open all year we have opted for additional insulation in our pods, to provide extra winter warmth, making even the snowy, wintry months a cosy warm environment within a pod.

Pods are an ideal getaway especially for those who wish to travel light like hikers and cyclists, or if you wish to arrive by steam train, the famous Watercress Steam Railway line is less than a mile from our site.

Our Pods are tucked in a bluebell copse within our campsite in the beautiful Hampshire countryside; we are in an elevated position so have a great view from the site. Come and live within the landscape and lose track of time !

What’s in a Pod?

All pod sites offer different things, in ours you can expect the following:

  • King-size bed with option to hire bedding.
  • Carpet, blinds or curtains
  • Electric heater, lights and sockets
  • Bespoke enclosed porch area (for cosy winter nights)
  • TV with DVD player
  • “Snugglewood” our Special Pod has an additional small washroom with toilet, & kitchen sink with kettle.

The pod has lockable French doors for added security and a small window at the back to help ventilate and give a through draught on hot summer days. Both are double-glazed to reduce condensation and provide sound insulation.

Our pods’ interior floor area is 2.34 metres wide by 3.526 metres long. They have a small porch for some shelter and a little decked area to the front with somewhere to sit or put any wet gear before going inside.

Benefits of a Pod

  • More private, safe and secure with a lockable door.
  • Insulated for both winter and summer months.
  • Well-ventilated for hot days.
  • Heat, light and a power point.
  • Decking for dining out on the warm sunny days.

Facilities are available in the main building for podders (as the pods have no facilities):

WCs with small sink, shower, sink with hot and cold water for washing up, small campsite kitchen area with shared fridge, kettle and microwave, crockery, cutlery and glasses.

At present we are not wheelchair friendly due to the access to the facilities and gravel which we know is not suitable for disabled access. We are looking to pave and level this area when funds allow.

However, one of our Pods has been adapted with with a lower threshold and ramp to help accommodate wheelchair users or any person with a disability. Should anyone with a disability wish to hire a Pod and require unpacking and packing up, please do not hesitate to let us know at the time of booking. We will be more than happy to help in any way we can.

Not permitted in a Pod or on the porch...

Because of the risk of fire not only in the wooden pods but in the surrounding woodland we do not allow smoking, cooking of any kind, candles, joss sticks, fires or heaters (other than the one supplied), or anything that could burn, melt or start a fire. Smoking is not permitted in the Pods or on the Pod decking areas, nor is it permitted in the main building or under walkways.

If you wish to use a BBQ please advise us on arrival. Due to fire risks we have a designated paved area a safe distance from each Pod and can offer a shelf for disposable BBQs.

We do not accept pets.
