2021 update

Two Hoots Glamping site is under new management who, following COVID restrictions, have decided to limit the re-opening to our two fully self-contained Shepherd's Huts (now each with their own toilet/shower rooms).

Up to date availability and bookings for our two Shepherd's Huts are now exclusively handled by AirBnb.

Lazy Day's Shepherd's Hut (first hut, nearest to car park): view/book on Airbnb

Keeper's Cosy Shepherd's Hut (last hut, furthest from car park): view/book on Airbnb

NB. Due to ongoing COVID restrictions and out of caution, no tents, touring caravans, motorhomes or glamping pods are currently available to book.

Our site remains as an exclusively ADULT-ONLY SITE which helps to ensure it remains a quiet and peaceful site befitting its stunning hilltop location with long distance south & westerly views over the Hampshire Hills.

With all these awards cluttering the place up we thought it appropriate to offer a few words of explanation and also thanks for the support we’ve had since we started this little venture.

Winchester Business Excellence Awards

We are thrilled and very surprised to have won the Winchester Business Excellence Award this year (2015), particularly as the winners usually seem to be much larger and more businessy enterprises in comparison to our little campsite. So even though we were short-listed and invited to the awards ceremony, we had no great expectations. When our name was read out it really was one of those jaw-hitting-the-floor moments!

There are several categories for the Winchester Business Awards. The one we were lucky enough to win is the Winchester City Council Carbon Smart Business of the Year Award. We have been part of the Carbon Smart scheme since it started, and this year managed to attain Gold certification through continued efforts to reduce our carbon footprint.

The Beautiful South Awards

The Beautiful South Awards for Excellence are run by Tourism South East and Services for Tourism. In 2012/13 we won the Gold Award in the category for Sustainable Tourism. This was our first award and for it to be gold made it all the more special.

In 2014/15 in seemed unlikely that lightning would strike twice but again we were delighted when we won a further two awards: Silver in the Holiday Park/Holiday Village of the Year category and Bronze in the Self Catering Holiday Provider of the Year category. We also received a Highly Commended mention in the category for Sustainable Tourism.

We’ve had a tremendous amount of support from many people since we started the site, particularly from the Fieldfare Leader group and Winchester City Council’s tourism department, so a huge thanks to them. Also thanks to our visitors and Podders who have left some wonderful comments and reviews, and certainly made it all worthwhile.

Thank you.
