A31. From the campsite go to the bottom of Bighton Hill, turn right, shop on right, Shell station on left. 4 miles from the campsite is the small picturesque Georgian town of Alresford. This has a Co-op, a small Tesco, bakers, chemist, off-licence, post office, newsagents, restaurants, an award-winning Indian restaurant, Chinese, Pizza Express, pubs with great food, pavement cafes, and a range of shops and boutiques.

You can take the steam train from Ropley railway station to Alresford, Medstead/Four Marks and Alton.

Petersfield market is held every Wednesday and Saturday in the square, GU32 3HH. It is a delightful place to shop with a wide range of organic produce, and has many individual shops.
One shop called The Bran Tub is very well-known and sells health foods and natural remedies.

Winchester market is situated between the Brooks Centre, and the Post Office in Middle Brook St in the centre of the city. Approximately thirty traders assemble from Wednesday to Saturday, between 8.30am and 5pm. On Thursdays, the market also has a number of bric-a-brac stalls selling food, clothes, and household goods. Flowers are sold all week.
