Health and Safety...

The water points provide mains-fed drinking water & can be found at both ends of the site clearly marked drinking water, for hygiene purposes please do not allow any attached pipes to reach the ground.

A chemical and waste disposal point can be found near the entrance of the site clearly marked Elsan point with a separate water supply from water butt for rinsing your chemical toilet & the lid area, this is Not drinking water.

Dustbins & recycling bins are also in the Elsan area. Please use these for all recyclable materials to help our environment.

Please put all non-recycling rubbish in plastic bags with the tops tied, into the bins. Do not leave any bags beside the bins, as the local wildlife will empty them during the night. Also please avoid leaving sharp objects or broken glass where they could become a hazard.

Two Hoots campsite & the surrounding county lanes have no lighting whatsoever; it is advisable to bring a good torch.

Once onsite please make yourselves aware of the nearest fire point.

Please do not pick, cut, eat or digest any plant, bush or tree material especially fruits, seeds, berries or any part of any plant or fungi as they could be poisonous. Be aware of thorns, prickles or stinging hairs & brambles. Some plants can cause an allergic reaction & many skin or eye reactions.

Always wash hands thoroughly after using the toilet, before & after eating & after any contact with the outdoors & countryside. This reduces the risk of germs & infections from animals, all animals naturally carry a range of micro-organisms.

We have an abundance of wildlife in the area & often have sheep & lambs in the adjoining field. Pregnant women should avoid any contact with sheep & lambs & may wish to seek advice before booking.
