There is a newsagent and a Shell petrol station about 15 - 20 mins walk from site.
These are both on the A31. From the campsite go to the bottom Bighton hill,
turn right, shop on right, Shell station on left. 4 miles from the campsite is
the small picturesque Georgian town of Alresford, this has a Co-op, a small
Tesco, bakers, chemist, off licence, post office, newsagents, restaurants, fish
& chips, an award winning Indian restaurant, Chinese, Pizza Express, pubs
with great food, pavement cafes, and a range of shops etc.
You can take the steam train  from Ropley station railway station to Alresford,
Medstead / Four Marks and Alton.

At Medstead near Four Marks there is a new complex called Lymington Barn Ind

Winchester market is situated between the Brooks Centre, and the Post Office in
Middle Brook St in the centre of the city. Approximately thirty traders assemble
from Wednesday to Saturday, between 8.30am and 5pm. On Thursdays, the
market also has a number of bric-a-brac stalls selling food, clothes, and houshold
