Baggins, the first dog
on Two Hoots Campsite
Well behaved dogs are welcome, however we do ask that they are booked in,
kept on a lead and under control at all times, exercised off site, cleaned up after
and for owners not to allow repetitive barking. Please note that sometimes there
are sheep and lambs in an adjacent field.
Two Hoots Campsite is a small friendly site, in a pretty rural setting, approx
one and a half acres of level grass, lined from the lane with a bluebell copse.
It has open views across grassland to the front with woods beyond and beautiful
far reaching views.
We can accommodate both touring vehicles & camping. We are a small quiet site with
no toilets, showers, or play areas. We do have the usual facilities of fresh water,
Elsan and waste disposal. We are keen to recycle as much as possible and have bins
provided retrospectively.. This campsite at present is run under the Caravan and
Camping Club as a 5 van CL site that can take tents. Non members can join on
site.
Two Hoots Campsite is a quiet and secluded 1 ½ acre grass site nestled in the
beautiful Hampshire countryside, only 5 minutes walk from the famous
Watercress Steam Railway, also only 4 miles from the quaint Georgian town of
Alresford, and 11 miles from Winchester. The campsite is a great base for
exploring Hampshire.
This location had been running as a campsite independently prior to 1992.
It was first registered with the Caravan and Camping Club in 1992, and listed
as a “CL” site.
We hope to upgrade the site, and add electric power later this year (2010)
We currently have an allowance for 5 caravan/motor home pitches, and many
tent pitches.
All tents staying for certain periods will be asked to move pitch to allow the
grass to recover. Awning groundsheets are not permitted.
All campers will require their own toilet and washing facilities. The site is well
maintained, the grass is kept short, and the site kept clean.
